Laelia anceps

This botanical watercolor is of the delicate orchid Laelia anceps.  This orchid is the parent to literally thousands of modern hybrids and comes in dozens of forms -- everything from bright pink to white.  The one pictured here is the original form (as is found in its native habitat), which is not commonly grown today.
