Iris 'Lyric'

This botanical watercolor is of a festive iris named 'Lyric'. While most iris are blue, just as the wild iris are, there are a number of newer hybrids developed which are yellow-red.  This fine specimen features dark reddish-brown falls and peachy uprights.  This is the eighth painting in the Garden Perennial Series.
