Welcome to the Still Life Gallery!

Still lifes are a wonderful challenge to an artist.  Just when one figures out how to paint one texture, such as the soft fur of an alpaca toy, then in the next still life a new texture appears, such as clear glass.  This is why, in part, that still lifes are very popular among artists throughout the ages.

Below are a few examples of still life paintings, grouped by series.  Larger, clearer images are available for many by clicking on the title to go to a larger (but slower to load) image of the portrait.
