Notes:
This delightful print that has
been hand-colored as was common in times past. In the 19th century and earlier, printers would often
hire young women and whole families sometimes to hand color black and white
prints. Or sometimes, the purchaser of the print would decide to color a
black and white print. In either case, colorizing prints by hand is a very
legitimate, century old method. The colors used on this print are the
finest watercolors available and are lightfast.
