The Kiss

This soft pastel portrait is of the same two alpacas depicted in Fuzz Heads.  Unlike most of the artist's other pastels, this one was done on pastel cloth, which is a relatively new archival surface for soft pastels.  Unlike paper, pastel cloth holds pastel very securely so that a pastel drawing can easily be shipped rolled up across the country without any pastel falling off.  It is also an ideal surface for pastel drawings that will be taken to shows.
