Seriously Fuzzy

Rather than a strict portrait, this is a 2-color relief print of a very serious alpaca.  A print that uses black and white inks on a colored paper is called a chiaroscuro print.  Unlike so many prints today which are done either by offset presses or by computers, this one was done totally by the artist.  Namely, she cut the two blocks (one for each ink) and carefully printed it by hand on the paper.  Because of this, this print is considered an original print, and not just a reproduction.
