pencil portrait of an alpaca head

Penasco

This pencil portrait is of an adorable alpaca named Penasco.  While the portrait could have been done in a standard format, a vertical rectangle, doing it in a square format seemed more appropriate.  Why?  For one thing, his neck didn't have to be elongated nor did more of his body have to be shown.  Thus, the focus is on his face.  Also, Penasco is a unique little fellow and having his portrait in an unusual format helps to show his uniqueness.
