I'm an Eagle
This portrait of a blue and gold macaw captures not only the
beautiful colors of the parrot but also his rambunctious nature. For those
not familiar with macaws, they do love to be the center of attention. Oil
pastels were a natural for this portrait, as they are bright, bold, and (at
least in part) transparent which helps to capture the complex coloration of this
magnificent bird.
