Robert F. Hoy

This charcoal portrait is of the actor Robert F. Hoy, as seen in the television series High Chaparral.  Charcoal was chosen as the medium because the photo this was drawn from had high contrast.   The portrait was executed on white paper using only charcoal, which gives the drawing a soft yet deep feel.
