Azalea

A charcoal drawing of an azalea

Azalea

This drawing of an azalea is done in charcoal with a technique that is closer to painting than drawing.  One problem of doing white flowers is a white flower on white paper is difficult to see.  But, white flower on a black background is stunning! And with this charcoal technique, the blacks are deep and rich.
