Welcome to the Alpaca Portrait and Art Gallery!
Alpacas are interesting creatures from an artistic point of
view. Trying to capture their softness while still giving
definition to their features is a very fine line, but one that is
fun to walk.
L.M. Hornberger has been recognized as one of best alpaca
artists alive today. She has created artwork featuring
alpacas in pencil, soft pastel, oil pastel, and
oils. While most of her work has been alpaca portraits, she
has plans to create original alpaca art in the coming year
(2007). Additionally, she will soon be offering additional
artist prints featuring alpacas.
Ms. Hornberger is now represented by two different
alpaca farms. On the East Coast, she is
represented by Lucky Stars Farm Alpacas, who will be showing some
of her work at alpaca shows in the East. Presently, only
portraits (of alpacas and owners) are available thru this farm,
but additional artwork will soon be available. To visit
their farm store, visit Lucky Stars Farm Alpacas at
AlpacaNation.com.
On the West Coast, Absolute Alpacas shows her
work at various alpaca shows in the western US. This includes
alpaca themed Christmas cards, note cards, sketches, drawings, and prints, but
not portraits. To view some of the work now available thru
Absolute Alpacas, please visit the Alpaca
Art at Absolute Alpacas page.
Another source for alpaca themed Christmas
cards is at MyAlpacaStuff.com.
